New Affiliate Start Up Schedule
The most fragile time for a newly signed affiliate in your organization is within the first 90 days. Their success within this space will set the momentum for the next extended period of time.
Consider the following start up plan for any new member of your organization.
Welcome them to your company and to your downline. Encourage them to take advantage of the training and support provided by your company. Give them contact information for yourself and the company you represent. Ensure they are familiar with all key contacts within your organization. Make a commitment to support them in every aspect of the business and sales process. This commitment will maintain a long-term business partner and produce a mutually benefiting business relationship for an extended duration of time.
Stress the need to take advantage of all training tools that your organization provides. These training modules have a direct impact on their future success in the field. Without these training tools, one has to wing it and fly by the seat of their pants. Not a fun way to go, because you have to re-invent yourself in each situation that may present itself.
If they did not sign up at the highest level within your organization, make sure they know that this is a goal to achieve over a period of time and within a time frame that best fits their needs and financial situation.
Help them establish their web sites, and understand each web site tab and module from the marketing side and the back office perspectives. Ensure they know the difference between the marketing section of their web site and the company side of the web site. In this way, they are familiar with easy access to ongoing training, support and marketing documentation versus the sales recruiting application of their web site presence. In most cases, virtual web site affiliate marketing programs have a two-fold, web site applications and this is not unique in most MLM and referral marketing companies.
The next step is to help them set attainable goals that are relative to their capabilities and limitations. For example, some people are in home businesses full time, and others part time. Also factor in their previous experience levels if any.
After a few days, call or email your new affiliate to check on how they are doing with their conference call training and online training sessions. This shows that you are interested in how they are proceeding and makes them feel that they are part of a team, and in some cases family.
Make sure that any new affiliate that you bring into your business knows that you and your upline are always there to help and support their efforts….. when they need it.
It is important to note that it is difficult to help those who won’t help themselves, but your income will be proportionate to the help you provide to those whom are willing to work.
